We build our own software, and we run it ourselves.
First Light Softech LLP is an independent software product company in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. We design, build, operate and support everything we make — one product at a time, for the long term.
We are not an agency. We do not take contract work, and we do not build software for other people to run. Each product we make is one we intend to be answering the email about in five years.
What we build
First product — in development
Parenting Path
A co-parenting platform for separated and divorced families, and for the attorneys and mediators who work with them. In development for iOS and Android.
Parenting Path is our first product. Anything we build after it will be listed on the Products page.
How we work
Four commitments that hold for every product we ship.
We run what we build
One product at a time, handled in-house: design, engineering, support, and the privacy and legal work that serious software has to get right. We are not an agency, we do not take contract work, and we do not build things we intend to hand to someone else.
Build for the hardest case
We design for the person in the worst version of the situation, not the demo version. If a product only works when everyone involved is calm, organised and acting in good faith, it does not work.
Protection is never an upsell
Whatever keeps someone safe or private is free on every plan of every product we make, including the free ones. Withholding it to prompt an upgrade would mean charging the people with the least room to pay.
Collect less
The least data that makes a product work, held for the shortest time that is useful. This website is the plainest version of that promise: it sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and makes no third-party requests at all.
